What issue do you have?

Looking how to create a link in one note to a specific # heading in another note.

Currently I use Quick Links v1.3.2 plugin to create a link from one note to another :

[Another note](:/c1f0a7a39e68462684bfceb95fcba2bc)

Then I make sure that the # heading is one word only, and if not - change spaces between words to underscores.

Then I edit the link in the following way by copying and pasting:

[Name of the heading in the another note](:/c1f0a7a39e68462684bfceb95fcba2bc#Name_of_the_heading_in_the_another_note)

This works, but is very cumbersome, and there must be an easier solution to make this happened. Is there a way to reduce this to just one step?

*** just found out the above only works on MacOS and NOT on iOS***

I looked through all currently available plugins that help with linking and could not find one that works for me.

Ideally, I actually want to hightlight the # Name of the heading in the another note (without need to change spaces to underscores) and right click the mouse or an icon in the menu to copy the link to clipboard. Then open the One note and paste the link into it.

Also is there a shortcut to go to a previous note - both in Mac and iOS interface? I really don't want to complicate things by creating multiple backlinks.

Have you tried replacing spaces with hyphens instead of underscores?

These plugins might help:

  • Copy Anchor Link
  • Outline: If you right-click on a heading that appears on the outline panel, the link to the heading will be copied to the clipboard.
  • Note Link System: Amazing plugin, but doesn't work in the latest markdown editor (you need to use the legacy editor). It has a feature that I wish the Quick Links plugin had: After selecting a note to link to, another pop-up lets you select the specific heading in the note.

I did - it does not help.
The most important issue is that it does not work on iOS, even though it works on MacOS.
