I have been using Joplin for quite some time now but had recently tried Logseq, because the workflow especially on mobile devices seemed to be much better. The features I miss in Joplin mostly boil down to
Defined position for the note (Daily Journal) - Which makes note taking on mobile devices a ton easier. I have so many notes created on my android phone, which got lost somewhere.
Linking to create “pages” - If I write down something in the Daily Journal I can add a Tag and this adds the portion to the Pages with the same name. This is really good for information retrieval
However, since I have a mixed device ecosystem and Logseq sync is not really implemented, I would prefer to switch back to Joplin. Are there any plugins, especially mobile plugins, which could help to achieve a better note and linking habit like in Logseq?
For tagging inline, have a look at Inline Tag Navigator (works on mobile). It was inspired to some extent by Logseq. You may then view all tagged lines / paragraphs in a panel, or in a note that is dedicated to a saved search query (a single tag, or a more complex one).
For linking while creating pages, try Quick Links (works on mobile). You may enable in the settings the option to Allow new notes. You can combine this with Automatic backlinks. Ideally, you would want something like Bidirectional Links on mobile, but it's not enabled on mobile yet (I believe it should work, if @benlau is interested).
Thank you for the plugins! This looks like a really promising start
How do you add new notes on your mobile? I guess this was the biggest pain for and to look for alternatives.
On the desktop I used the journal plugin, couple with templates, which worked fine. But on mobile the lost notes is something which was really hard to work with
