What issue do you have?
I lost a phone that syncs with S3. If I change the S3 encryption key for the bucket will this prevent the remote app from loading or decrypting the data that has been synchronized to the phone? Does Joplin do a key check before loading the data? If the app is opened on the remote device, is there any way to disrupt the data from being read?
Presumably it's server-side encryption? In which case it won't affect Joplin
Gotcha. I read another thread that mentioned sync+delete on a device to have the other devices start deleting when they sync. I created a new bucket, pushed all of my data there with a new portable desktop installation, then returned to my normal desktop install and deleted all the notes. After deleting the notes and emptying the trash I kicked off a sync, but it started creating items locally rather than deleting. I had to do this twice where it finally showed and sync'd no more data. I then opened Joplin on my Android tablet hoping it would just start deleting, and it did, but it also started creating/fetching data which makes no sense.
Does each Joplin device store its own version of each note? I thought only one version of a note was stored and that note was pushed to all devices?
This happened on two devices, so I'm not sure why this would occur. I was under the impression that deleting from one device would trigger a delete on the other devices, but there's some other strange behavior occurring here.
