Stop Joplin pasting png image when I paste text

Hi all,

I'm using an M1 Mac, running Joplin 1.4.19.

So when I copy text from, say, a Word Document, I paste it into Joplin, and the text pastes but there is also an image of the text that pastes afterward. This is in the Markdown editor and I paste using a keyboard shortcut. Even when I use a program like Pastebot and paste "as plain text" with a keyboard shortcut, this extra png image still gets created.

I don't want thousands of these to be appearing in my files, and it is annoying anyway to have to delete the png image from the Markdown code every single time I paste something.

Is there an easy way to fix this? I don't have a lot of coding knowledge, so perhaps there's a modification I can make to the preferences somewhere?

Thanks,

Tyler

Your version is quite old, can you try the latest? I think there were changes related to pasting from clipboard recently.

Ok I'll try that and report back here, thanks
