What issue do you have?

I have having a problem that seems to affect a few people on this forum. Some of the issues go back to 2020. There was talk of an "Ignore" button being added, but I can't see that option.

Basically, at the top of the Joplin window is a blue banner that reads "Some items cannot be synchronised. View them now"

When I click "View them now", I see the following (see screenshots).

What is weird is that I only have four pages in my journal and none of them have pictures. I removed all the default Joplin notebook pages. But all the sync issues seem to relate to PNG files.

The banner is annoying and takes up space.

I also get the same issue on mobile (using iOS app v13.5.3). Same files affected. It's more annoying on mobile because the screen is smaller, but I have not yet used the app much.

Any advice on clearing these issues would be welcome.

Many thanks

Did anything happen when you clicked on “retry” ?

Thank you for your reply.

Yes. The messages went away briefly while the app retried, and then they returned.

What's odd is that I don't have any images in any of my notes.

I did have this problem myself, BTW. Wish I could remember what I did. I think I ended up deleting and re-downloading everything. On mobile, having real-estate used for this pointless banner is really problematic.

Is it possible that you still have notes with attachments in your trash ?

I think I read that Joplin keeps orphaned attachments (images) for “x” amount of time after the referring notes are deleted. But I can’t find a setting for “x”. It’s possible the problem will clear itself up once Joplin acknowledges the orphans.

Good luck!
