What issue do you have?
My Joplin Android app has been telling me today "Some items cannot be synchronised. Press for more info." I pressed for more info, saw a dozen or so notes listed, pressed Retry and cleared them all. But five minutes later the same error is back, this time listing hundreds of notes. Something is obviously deeply wrong but I have no idea how to fix it.
I'm sorry to complain but this instruction is simply not helpful: "These items will remain on the device but will not be uploaded to the sync target. In order to find these items, either search for the title or the ID (which is displayed in the brackets above)."
What?
This happened two weeks ago and I uninstalled the app and cleared the internal memory. It will take many hours to resync my Joplin database. Is this how it's going to be with Joplin? I may go back to Evernote. For all its problems, syncing was done very well.

A little more information. Looking at the desktop Joplin I see dozen and dozens of "Attachment conflicts" for notes I have not opened or touched. How did this happen? And what should I do now? Start over again?
Some time later: unfortunately I now realize the best thing to do now is copy all my latest notes (the ones created in Joplin) back to Evernote. Why? Because I need synchronization to work while traveling over the next two weeks. I cannot afford to have conflicted attachments and items unable to synchronize.
This is extremely disappointing, to say the least: I came to Joplin out of frustration with Evernote's many flaws. It is doubly disappointing to consider going back. But that seems to be the only safe option. Or do y'all feel differently?
Two hours later: I am now extremely discouraged. The Joplin Android app is not working. I have no idea why.
Here is what happened.
To clear the irritating orange banner, I wiped its internal memory, uninstalled, restarted the phone, reinstalled Joplin, and resynced. It appeared to sync 15,782 items but no notebooks ever appeared. It completed after 15 minutes and still no notebooks. None. I repeated the entire process (wipe, uninstall, etc, etc) with the same result. It again claims to have fetched 15,782 items, but the only notes on the screen are the "Welcome!" notes. I am in a total panic because I need this information on my phone for the next two weeks while traveling. Laurent, can you help me?
The next day: Today I exported all my notes to a JEX file and then tried to delete all my data, in the hope that I could once again start over from zero. This failed with the message "Sync target is locked - aborting API call".
Any suggestions, anyone? I am about to throw in the towel and return to Evernote.
