Help! Sick of Some items cant be syncronized :(

What issue do you have?

Some items cannot be synchronized. Clicking the yellow bar presents hundreds of files that cannot be synchronized. I do not have enough time to click “ignore” or “retry.” I feel there is something wrong with the iOS app because I am syncing the same account between Windows 10, Windows 11, and Linux, and the iOS app is the only one that exhibits this issue.

I have already synced from my master Windows 11 copy and forced the local copy to upload to the server.

Can't you just offer us an "ignore all" button? I hate the yellow bar. Please let me hide this useless yellow bar. I am about to give up on Joplin because of this issue. I have been using Joplin since it came out.

My main quickfix suggestion: On your iOS app, create a new profile and sync again. Do you still experience the issue? Note that creating a new profile keeps your old profile intact, thus no data loss and easy switching back and forth.

Secondary suggestion: your iOS app is trying to upload png images which do not exist locally. It would be interesting to clarify whether those images were created on your iOS device or on some other device. Are you able to find them by id in your notes and get the answer?

I feel you. But your issue shows potential major data loss. Personally my data integrity is my top priority and if it is at risk I want Joplin to annoy me about it.

This issue can happen under this condition:

  • Your file attachments were not fully synchronised, for example because you had the option to only download attachments when you open a note

  • Then you switched to a different cloud target. Now the app is trying to upload the files to the new sync target, but since they are not on your device it doesn't work

In this situation it can make sense to delete the app, install it again and sync. Especially if the data in your other devices is fine, it means it will fetch back correct data and sync state.

The IOS app is set to manual download because I have more than 5000 notes.
