My Joplin has become unusable, for some reason. I suspect it might not be Joplin's fault, but maybe you can still help me?
Starting today, when I open the program, there is some sort of rendering problem which makes the program unusable, as better shown in the print screen (I added boxes over the notes list for privacy reasons, but the remainder of the image is exactly how it shows to me).
I cannot move or minimize the window.
I can still write in the writing area.
I cannot close Joplin. Alt F4 does not work.
I cannot change to any other window (alt tab), because Joplin's stays in the front and prevents me from doing anything else. I have to hard reset the computer because I can't use it anymore after starting Joplin.
Using tab, I can "jump" to Joplin's head menu, but I cannot open the submenus.
The cursor is shown at a much higher place in the screen than what Joplin is considering it to be (I can tell by the "shade" that changes in some places, as if the cursor were over them).
I'm using Linux Mint 21.3 Mate, using the software management program which comes with it, which uses flatpak's version of Joplin. I tried to download the appimage directly from the Joplin website, and it has the same problem. Made a new installation via terminal, as recommended in Joplin's website, but it's the same. I even tried v3.1.4 (pre-release), and it also has the same problem.
Thanks for the help, mate! Yes, I've been using Joplin in this distro with no issues, until today.
Some news.
When I created this topic, I had turned the computer on and off several times, with no luck. Now, I get back to this some hours later, and the whatever problem that was going on, just disappeared. Instead, I was getting a different error, related to server authentication (what?!?!). See pic below.
It was also asking for the encryption password, again.
I sync using Nextcloud/DAV. So I just went to the logs there and confirmed that the connection was working just fine even when I was having the issue described in the first post. Each program uses a unique password to access Nextcloud, so I confirmed it connected fine to the server, ~5h ago. Now it couldn't connect. Anyway, I created a new access, tested it, and it started working again.
Then I set up the encryption master password again, which seemed to have reseted from the backend, although the notes were still showing fine. It accepted it.
Things seem to be working now again, for some reason. I didn't do anything different, haven't even been at home. I have no idea what's going on, I'm so lost
