I know how to use GoTo Anything to jump to notebooks and search for tags. However it would be convenient if I could see the tags of the searched notes in the results list. Could this be at least a toggle-able option?
Is there maybe a way that you could modify the behavior and style of the results lis of the GoTo Anything tool via plugin APIs?
You posted your feature request in the correct category.
The only workaround I know of is using the search bar (not Goto Anything) with the Note List Preview plugin. See the Date and Tags screenshot to see how it could work for you.
This is correct for feature requests. However due to the sheer number of them the way it tends to work is that there isn't a single official feature request list nor can the team necessarily reply to each one but instead works by people liking the post or generally interacting with the topic. Active topics naturally draw attention to themselves and we can always look through feature requests by the nature of how many likes they get to serve as a rough popularity meter.
The lack of activity could be a couple of things, either it didn't really resonate with the community or it may have got lost in the noise of the forum (for example if there were a ton of support posts or other things that drove this down the front page).
Honestly I personally don't see this as an unreasonable request. I can see some objections relating to taking up extra space per-item in the results list or how to display overflows if your note has loads of tags applied (although I guess that is already happening with the notebook breadcrumbs).
Ok, say I want to search for my notes on games. I have notes on video games that I've played and game theory that I've studied. I have a lot of small zettel-like notes with lots of tags. I don't necessarily remember all of my tags, but I will recognize the topic if I see them.
So basically I would like to search for "game" and then skim the results list for tags to just system-1 recognize the notes that I need.
I think in this scenario such feature would be useful. Maybe it could be something customizable? Or maybe someone could point in a general direction of where should I look to try and implement a plugin for that?
