What issue do you have?

I installed Portable and now want to use Desktop which I have just installed. Desktop version is working fine.

  1. How do I uninstall portable? Do I just select its folders and delete it?
  2. I have 18k notes in portable. None in desktop. Can I copy and paste a folder from portable into desktop to save me importing notes to the Desktop version?
  1. Yes you can delete everything - after exporting your notes...
Don't delete your portable folder immediately. If you have your own CSS (userChrome, userStyles), keyboards shortcuts, etc, you may want to copy them to your desktop version.
And if something goes wrong during the import with a few notes, you can still run the portable version and copy their content.

  2. Well, I think during an import, Joplin will take care of the database (insert, relations, etc.). If you just copy the folder, I'm not sure this process will happen. Joplin will have no idea where those notes come from and what to do with them.
