KaTeX \text{\textasciicircum} does not work

The KaTeX extension is a great help, and works fine, except for \text{\textasciicircum}, which should print a caret (^) according to this website, but does nothing. Other \text{} tags do work, like \text{\textunderscore} and \text{\textasciitilde}, but not the caret.

I use Joplin 1.0.175 (prod, darwin) on MacOS 10.13

We are using Katex 0.10.0 and it was either not supported on that version or there was a bug. Using 0.11.1 works.
