Json files created and deleted - is this normal?

I am sync-ing to a nextcloud drive, and I am seeing (in the nextcloud log) that json files are frequently added, edited and deleted. Then, when I open the Joplin folder on nextcloud, I don't see any such json files at all, not even hidden.

Could anybody just tell me please if this is "typical activity" for Joplin or whether this must be due to another application with access to my cloud drive ? I am asking bacause I am not aware of having granted such rights to any other app.

Thanks a lot !!

I think it's expected. Some of those files are used to indicate to other Joplin clients that a sync is in progress.

Something like this?

You deleted random and 1_1_ca681692bebe4338b415d39f1cdc1e29.json

You changed info.json and 2_1_ca681692bebe4338b415d39f1cdc1e29.json

I think it is expected, specially if note history is not disabled.

Thanks for your responses, and yes, that's what it looks like. But you are both indicating some uncertainty ("I think") . That is why I'd still feel better with a confirmation from the developer.

It was more of a figure of speech. But feel free to wait for Laurent to confirm of course.

Thanks ... for the clarification (which helps !) and the move.
