Joplin webdav mkcol locks error when sync with nextcloud

Joplin 2.11.11 syncing to Nextcloud Hub 5 (27.0.1)

The sync test works okay but then you try and click the sync button and it gives this message. I think it's Joplin issue since I can connect to the same webdav via my linux client (Thunar) file manager. Searched and searched, I see this similar issue reported dozens of times in threads but never found an answer.

Completed: 24/07/2023 12:13 (38s)
Last error: Error: MKCOL locks/: (Exception Sabre\DAV\Exception\Conflict) (409): <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?> <d:error xmlns:d="DAV:" xmlns:s="http://sabredav.org/ns"> <s:exception>Sabre\DAV\Exception\Conflict</s:exception> <s:message/> </d:error>

Funny, soon as post I find my answer. I disabled the end-to-end encryption "add on" in Nextcloud. I'd like to figure out if I can use this with this addon down the road but at least its working now. Thanks

It won't work with Nextcloud E2EE. But Nextcloud E2EE is terrible anyway and shouldn't be relied on. It seems they implemented this to show they have it and care about privacy, but then the add-on pretty much became abandonware.

Just check the comments on the add-on page, it's almost entirely negative:

If you want E2EE anyway you can simply enable it on Joplin.
