What issue do you have?

Dumb question, but is there no way to see details of what is actually in the Joplin cloud [e.g. like Dropbox shows, directories, folders, files]?

The home page shows 4 gigs used about 20 hours after I deleted all notebooks and notes and waited about 16 hours for the sync to complete in order to then do a full restore of a prior backup.

There is an "Applications tab" but it just lists the one line of the application on desktop by the version number, and the only choice for action is to delete.

the cloud went from 4.7 gigs down to 4.1, but I was expecting it to go down significantly [see note below]. I had read where it takes a while for data to delete on the cloud, but the 4.1 gig hasnt budged for 20 hours, so I'm assuming it's done and was curious to look and see whats in there.

Note, after deleting all notes and notebooks, I do see under tools/note attachments thousands of entries left over. I don't understand why deleting notes doesn't delete them, but regardless, the backup .JEX file I made prior to deletion was about 2 gigs total and its not compressed, so even if all the attachments were the majority of the space used in the backup and they are left on the cloud, the 4.1 gig number there doesn't make sense.

It's by design that attachments are not deleted when you delete the notes which use it. If you have many attatchments to delete, you can download the Joplin Batch Plugin which has an option to delete all attatchments which are not used.

Also check of the Victor plugin, if you want to delete everything on Joplin Cloud

Thanks. but there's no way to look at any details on Joplin cloud first to see what's actually there or generally how it's broken down, again kind of like Dropbox? I'm still stuck on the idea that a non-compressed backup prior was only 2 gigs, and there's still 4.1 gigs showing on the cloud.

And in my scenario, wouldn't either plugin delete the attachments locally, then I'd need to do the sync again, and seeing nothing left on desktop the cloud would then delete its data? [It took like 16 hours to sync and only went down less than a gig, so I'm hoping to have an idea beforehand, as patient as I am with Joplin]

Correct

I don't have Joplin server setup currently, but when I did in the past there was a screen in the Joplin server admin to view all the objects on the server (not sure if per user or for all users) though there is no way to modify or delete the objects (they are not actually files for Joplin Cloud / Server, they are items in the Postgres database). So unfortunately you have to delete the data locally and then sync the change to the server
