Installed some plug-ins and now joplin won't start

Operating system

Linux

Joplin version

3.3.12

Desktop version info

hi all!

(garuda linux, btw)

discovered Joplin and i love it! i left onenote to it.)

joplin, installed via flatpak, was working SO well...and then i installed some plug-ins:

  • hotfolder
  • note-overview
  • todo
  • templates
  • menu shortcut
  • diff view
  • inline tags

i did them all at once, closed the app, and tried to restart. the icon appeared in the notification panel, but the app didn't actually start.

one of the extensions must have hosed the app. after backing up the Backup notes folder, i uninstalled the app, making sure to delete settings. then, re-installed it. i tried to open it, but only the icon in the notification panel showed. the app itself still won’t open.

is there anything i can do? like is there a folder somewhere i need to remove so that the plug-ins don't cause a problem, and i can start using the app?

thank y'all so much!

What issue do you have?

after installing plug-ins, the app won't start

SOLVED:

after uninstalling, removing data and settings in flatpak, and finding and deleting ~/.config/joplin-desktop, everything works again! WOOHOO!
