How to unpin a tab in iOS note tabs plugin?

What issue do you have?

Hi,

I'm testing notes plugin on iOS joplin app.
I can pin any tab, but I can't unpin any tab.
(I don't know how to unpin a tab)

Is there anyone who knows how to unpin a tab ?

Under Linux it's just the opposite operation: pinning it means pressing the pin icon which then changes to an x; un-pinning it means pressing the x icon.
Does it look differently under OSX?

If you click multiple times, the rightmost part of the item may become italicized.
When it becomes italicized, it is equivalent to deselecting it.

It is an iOS not a MacOS. I mean the iphone joplin app with note tabs plugin.

Hi, I tried that so many times :

  • pin tab : double tabs a tab, then italicized tab name becomes normalized tab name (it works)
  • unpin tab : tabs several times a tab, but normalized tab name does not become italicized tab name (it does not work...)

version of note tabs plugin that I am using is i.4.0, which version are you using ?

My apologies; should have read more carefully; automatically assumed OSX ...
1.4.0 is apparently the current version.

Does that work for you; using tabs on a smartphone screen? On a desktop it's really nice, but on a smartphone screen? Sorry; do not use it there myself ...

Need to pin in the middle
If you need to unpin the selection, click on the right
But the sensitivity doesn’t seem to be high

I tested on iOS on iphone and ipad. I thank the dev(s) for the effort to bring tabs on mobile. But to my deepest regret it is unusable for me. I understand how to switch between tabs. But I‘m unable to close tabs intentionally although I see the titles change into italic style. It‘s just that I do not understand the process . Or I‘m just to stupid to touch right the area on screen to close a tab. The best I can achieve is to close a note/tab by replacing it with another note/tab. For me, UI would need to be improved, I will wait impatiently for a change and hope the best :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

I understand you.
but it is still useful because the UX of mobile app is not so good compared to the desktop app (as you know).
It is so useful to access notes instantly !

Agreed.
With some improvement of UX, it will become very useful plugin!
