Try these conflict resolution instructions which should work for either Android or iOS.
Note: viewing a note in the Conflicts folder shows that it's in a different folder. It's not and you still have to move it to a different notebook.

With how Joplin sync works, I tend to multitask on mobile by creating new notes, syncing them, and then merging them into existing notes on desktop.
This helps prevent conflicts and can encourage discarding the Conflicts notes and notebook (in that order) over cumbersome conflict resolution.
