iOS, repeated conflict

I am using Joplin for iOS, v 10.4.1
I have deleted the app at least twice, only to re-install and sync via nextcloud. Everything works fine BUT upon every sync, a new < conflicts> folder, with the same conflicting - note over and over again. Deleting this folder does not help.
The log on iOS shows a lengthy error in red, with garbage, no clear text. Unfortunately, after the last desktop update I cannot open the log on the desktop version any more.
Any help appreciated.
