I get this message on Macbook Pro “Joplin.app” cannot be opened because Apple cannot check for malicious software. I also have tried to make in security “open anyway”

@josefcarel The last resolve will be that you can disable Gatekeeper from Terminal. Finder > Go > Utilities Launch Terminal Enter: sudo spctl --master-disable Run your install If you would like to reenable when done: sudo spctl --master-enable

@laurent even I faced this issue with the latest version of Joplin AND macOS BOTH. Do mac users have to disable gatekeeper to use the app. Do we have any kind of fix for this?

Thanks @bedwardly-down for the info. Apple is such a painful companion sometimes :joy:

They have the money and marketshare to be as locked in as they want with their ecosystem. I'm contributing to them by having a small handful of Apple products too. :stuck_out_tongue:
