You can also use the Note Overview plugin to combine your notes into one and put the icon on that note.
Had a read through the Note Overview thread to see how it works. I could use that for the weekly/monthly completed notes, that's a thought. Typically I just navigate by folder; I don't use the search so much, nor tags, but this could be a useful upgrade to my use of Joplin
Although, having said that I am also using Rich Markdown and have tweaked my CSS enough so I don't need to see the preview side at all, which is how I prefer it. So perhaps this is not so helpful yet
Emojis? I've been making wee little pictures for each of my folders, like this:
Maybe it's silly, but it makes it easier for me to find what I'm looking for, and it brings me great, silly joy.
I find it quite functional actually. It's easier for me to visually scan for the emoji of the notebook I'm looking for instead scan for the name.
For the same reason, I like to add an emoji at the beginning of some of my key notes.
Same here. I have emojis on my three “shortcut” folders that I use most, and the default folder icon on everything else. Of course this is Day Three on Joplin for me, so I may change things up.
