Hello,
Joplin 2.8.8 (prod, linux)
Client ID: [redacted]
Sync Version: 3
Profile Version: 41
Keychain Supported: No
Revision: c2a6a13
I'd like to be able to close Joplin's window without killing the process with CTRL
+w
. I tried adding a key-bind, but I don't have such entry:
Same goes for the menu:
Here I've read, that I can use ALT
+F4
and it indeed works.
Do I understand correctly that this is somehow related to the OS being used?
Is there a chance of adding this to the key-binds list so we can customize this?
What is wrong with the Quit command?
It seems that ALT+F4
to close the active window / minimise to tray (rather than CTRL+Q
to close / quit Joplin) is an OS shortcut not a Joplin one.
If the OS allows it you can change the shortcut key system-wide. The below screenshot is for a KDE-based Linux system.
However changing it to CTRL+W
may be problematic as that may already be used for closing an open tab.
Hello,
yes, what I'm looking for is a way to close the window and keep Joplin live in the background.
Indeed @dpoulton , ALT+F4
is a combo from Plasma Shell.
