"An email has been sent to you"

Hello,

When I logged in to my on-premise Joplin Server instance (version 2.6.10) with my non-admin user this morning it welcomed me with the following message:

"An email has been sent to you containing an activation link to complete your registration.

Make sure you click it to secure your account and keep access to it."

In and on itself it's not a problem but I don't know how to proceed with this, as:

  • I did not receive an email
  • Which is not completely surprising, as my server is not configured as an email relay, so if the Joplin Server wanted to use that (a local postfix, for instance), it would be futile
  • If Joplin Server is using other means to send an email, goto my first point

Could you point me in the right direction? I'd like to avoid any syncing surprises/issues.

It just queues the email object in the database but won't send it.

Thank you! So it’s not an actual problem and I won’t lose my account, right?

No you won't lose access.

Brilliant, thank you!
