I am new to Joplin. I downloaded the app on Windows 10 desktop and my Android phone, loaded notes from Evernote and synced. All was running smoothly and I was extremely happy until two days ago.
I was checking out all the actions available in the system on my desktop and must have triggered a change in view system as I am now stuck on an editing screen with no way to get out. I have no menu bar across top nor notebook bar on the left, no "exit" or "go back" buttons and a keyboard escape does nothing.
I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app only to find myself back on the same page.
So far Geek Squad has not fixed the issue either.
How can I get my desktop app back to it's original status without my ability to access the menu bar?
If I uninstall the app on both the desktop and phone will I be able to reinstall as a new user and start with a clean slate?
Can you try pressing Ctrl+Shift+M
? This is the shortcut to show and hide the menu bar. Similarly, F10
is used to toggle the sidebar, and F11
to toggle the note list.
For the record, next time, it would be better if you created a new topic about your problem in the support category instead of writing in the pinned, explanatory one .
That worked beautifully!!
Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!
