Top Menu is missing

What issue do you have?

The top menu is missing. I can't create a new note, access Preferences, etc. I tried F11 thinking it might just be because I had toggled to Full Screen or something, but that's not it. I imagine it's some key combination rather than a bug, but for the life of me I can't get the menu back.

ctrl + shift + m should re-enable the menubar if it was hidden

Thank you! That brought the top menu back into view. That made it possible to go through the settings. But still, it doesn't seem quite like I had it configured before. As I recall, there was a New Note button, or maybe just a plus sign like there is for creating a New Notebook. I didn't see anything in the settings to affect that. Any ideas?

Problem solved, it's fixed. After I brought back the menu with bwat47's tip about ctrl + shift + m, the New Note and New to-do buttons were still missing. A few minutes later, as I used Joplin, I changed notebooks, and - bam! - the New Note and New to-do buttons reappeared. Now they show up in every notebook. Thank you!

I have the same issue on Linux (Kubuntu 24.04) and the ctrl+shift+m tip does not seem to work. After this I stopped Joplin, restarted it a few minutes later, changed notebook, as fifonetworks did but the menu is still not appearing. Is there a shortcut or a workaround this issue? I have also tried Alt as it usually work in other applications.
