What issue do you have?

Since updating to Joplin 3.3.12 several days ago, I've lost the view of my other notebooks and folders. In fact, the entire top-level control bar is missing from this version of Joplin. I've tried restarting my Win 10 desktop, and reloading the update several times with the same result.

I checked Joplin from my iPad this morning and the data is still there, but version 3.3.12 still shows my top four lists and nothing else.

Can i revert to an earlier version of the Joplin?

Joplin has shortcuts for hiding/showing different parts of the UI (listed below). Do any of these show the missing control bar?

Shortcuts for hiding/showing different parts of Joplin's default UI

There are a few keyboard shortcuts for hiding/showing different parts of Joplin's UI. The default shortcuts are listed below:

  • Notebook list sidebar: F10
  • Notes list: F11
  • Toolbar: ctrl-m Edit: ctrl-shift-m.

These shourtcuts should also be listed in the "View" menu:

Hi Henry,

Thanks, this worked at first. F10 and F11 got the content view back that I was used to, but when I toggled on the Menu Bar (CNTR+Shift+M) that wiped out all the notes content.

I tried resetting the application layout from the View menu in the Menu Bar, but the content area below the menu bar was still blank.

All this nonsense started with the version 3.3.12 update. Seems like a bug.

Thx,

Rob

Can you please try these shortcuts instead in order to see if something come back to normal ?
Reboot JOPLIN in order to have new shortcuts available.

Is it possible to have a screenshot ?

Sometimes in the column of notes, the first of them becomes invisible for some time. If you click on one of them still visible, all of them become again visible.

I use 3.3.12 under WINDOWS 11 and LINUX (KUBUNTU with Wayland) and nothing similar...

Do you have this ?

If in the notebook column your default notebook has no notes (there are in subnotebooks), that's what you got...

I tested the default shortcut for the menu bar ( [CTRL] [SHIFT] [M] ) with no issue...

[F1], [F2] and [F4], 3 secs, and this is my new JOPLIN... LOL
