What issue do you have?

The latest version 3.0.13 of Joplin doesn't install. The install stops in the middle with a message saying 'Joplin can't be closed'. Please close it manually and click r Retry to continue' . I tired with the app closed and still get the same message

You have enabled Show tray icon, and then is clicken on X only minimizing Joplin.

Use Strg+Q or File > Quit to close Joplin

This is the 1st time I've ever had to do that. I didn't know it had a tray icon.

Yes. In the windows app unless you select file quit it will continue running in the system tray. I'm pretty sure in the background it will continue to synchronize with your other devices.

This of course can be disabled in the software. If you choose to go to tools and then options and then in the general menu under application there is a checkbox right at the top that says show Trey icon uncheck that box and it won't use the tray icon anymore at all.
