Installing the latest Joplin exe always stops at about 45% and says "Joplin cannot be closed. Please close it manually and click Retry to continue."
Even when it is closed!
Retry makes no difference.
When I exit from the install process, it says "Failed to uninstall old app files. Please try running the installer again.: 2"
That also fails.
My computer is a Dell XPS running the latest Windows.
Suggestions?
Just for the record, that did work for me. Sorry it didnt for you. Other ideas, anyone?
Before asking here, I saved a copy of the backup file manually to a different folder with a name that didnt say Joplin (in case somehow all files so named got deleted by the Wise Uninstaller I use), then I uninstalled Joplin, then installed the current download and hey presto, all my files were fine.
