What issue do you have?

Installing the latest Joplin exe always stops at about 45% and says "Joplin cannot be closed. Please close it manually and click Retry to continue."
Even when it is closed!
Retry makes no difference.
When I exit from the install process, it says "Failed to uninstall old app files. Please try running the installer again.: 2"
That also fails.
My computer is a Dell XPS running the latest Windows.

Just for the record, that did work for me. Sorry it didnt for you. Other ideas, anyone?
Before asking here, I saved a copy of the backup file manually to a different folder with a name that didnt say Joplin (in case somehow all files so named got deleted by the Wise Uninstaller I use), then I uninstalled Joplin, then installed the current download and hey presto, all my files were fine.

This is what fixed it for me

Open Joplin
Click File in the upper left corner of the screen
Click Quit

I know how to quit Joplin, I even know how to kill processes, but neither is helping with release 3.2.4
Even though there are no Joplin processes to start with, 3.2.4 gives the error.

Joplin-Setup-3.2.4.exe spawns another joplin process Joplin-Setup-3.2.4.exe" /UAC:9129C /NCRC which spawns a process named old-uninstaller.exe

Whatever it is, it's messed up, probably tripping on itself.
