Unsolicited (extra) empty line, after every return; How to disable?

I copied + pasted a text from my Apple Note app. Unfortunately Joplin adds an extra blank line to each return. And that is not the intention. How can I turn that off?

And if that is not yet possible in Joplin; Would I like to submit this as a feature request; Please move to the appropriate subforum.

Mac Mini. 2018. macOS 13 Ventura,

Good ol' shift-enter works for me.

I've never used a mac, but I've heard there is a "paste without formatting" command which is something like a shift-command-v but that's just a rumor I heard. You might pursue that though.
