hi, in principal, sync works great, but if i click on sync (i have 6000 notes), the algorithm tries to align evety single note which lasts very long. Is there a smarter way to perform the sync? etesync maybe?

You must sync all 6000 notes initially to the server. After initial sync is over, consequent sync sessions will last just a few seconds
If initial sync takes a long time, you may leave the app foreground and screen on overnight
There is also the issue of how frequently you sync. If you don't sync every day, and use your Joplin a lot, then sync takes a long time. Also, there is the issue of the power of your mobile device. I ended up deleting about 1,000 of my older notes and tried to remember to sync my phone more often. With my tablet I use Joplin every day, but seldom use it with my phone so it is a problem syncing when I remember.
What can help with reducing sync items for rarely synced clients is if you only need note history in emergencies, set the keep note history for setting to a very low value (eg. 1 day) on all clients
