What issue do you have?

How can I sync joplin to ipad without using the cloud, or by using google drive? I have Resilio Sync, but can only "share" files rather than automatically sync (that I have seen, anyway). Thank you! (In simple, non computereze, please.

What are you sharing between?

There is a File Sync setting, but this basically duplicates the data on each device. You'd want to put this into a separate directory, and then move that directory around however you can - syncthing, Google Drive sync'd folder (maybe only available to enterprises).

If you proceed on this, you'll have to Joplin File Sync and then sync between your devices likely when you start a session and end a session of using Joplin. Else you'll get conflicts if you edit the same note on your devices. It can be kind of tedious.

How is Google Drive not a cloud?

Thank you Andrea for answering so quickly. yes, of course it is (Google Drive, a cloud). but it gives you 15 GB for free.
I am trying to sync between laptop with Windows 11 and an iPad. On the iPad Joplin does not show “sync to file”. I have been able to “share” the files using Resilio Sync, but once on the iPad the notes aren’t editable, and it doesn’t automatically sync back & forth. Files would have to be “shared” back & forth again as far as I can tell. Is there another way to have it sync automatically?

Sorry, Andrew, not Andrea.
