What issue do you have?

Hey there

I got Joplin on my Linux machine (3.0.14) and on my Android phone (3.1.2).
Both use the same webdav share and are able to write without any complaints.
The webdav share is running on my local NAS. For debugging I mounted it on my Linux system so that I can see what happens there.

The issue is, that if a new notebook is created on either client and then synced, it is really written to the share: I greped for the content of a note in the new notebook and found the text in the md files each time.
But after a sync on the other side (no matter if Linux client or Android), that also runs without error, the new note / notebook is not created on this other client.
On Android I re-installed the app and synced it initially and it got all changes, but won't get new ones that are created by the other client afterwards.

Activating or Deactivating the fail-safe in Sync -> Advanced does not change this behaviour.

I also did a "Re-Upload local data to sync target" on the Linux client, but this also did not help.

Thanks for this great app and your enormous contribution to the Open-Source community
Best regards
Tobias

Oh and I tried with a third client (Linux, also 3.0.14): same here.
Here I got some minor conflicts, but not on the newly created notebooks from the other clients, they are also just not created.

Just as a sanity check, the WebDAV URL is the same on your Joplin instances?

Yes, it is. I got only one webdav share and all clients write to it and I can see the changes in the md files. They also share the same user account.
Also I forgot to mention, that it worked without issue quite a while, half a year maybe.
Just realized a few days ago that the notebook created on one client didn't show up in the other.

Found it

It was a timing thing of the NAS: it got an unreachable NTP server configured. And after some reboots it thought it was back in 2001. Most likely its battery died already some years ago. So all new files had a modification date of 2001. That brought Joplin to think 'nah, that old stuff is not synced' ...
Fixed the NTP-server and touched all files, now its back to normal.

Sorry for the fuss
