Soft line breaks in WYSIWYG editor

Hello all,
I cannot understand how to use line breaks.
I use mainly the WYSIWYG editor and I add soft line breaks using the standard SHIFT+ENTER
This works until I have the note displayed. Changing to another note and then back to the original one I get all lines on the same paragraph.
I already tried the "MD > enable soft breaks" option but I'm note sure it works for the WYSIWYG editor too.
Or is there another way to force the WYSIWYG to retain soft breaks?
Thanks again in advance for any suggestion.
Tony

I do it this way.
A registry setting is required.
HKEY_CURRENT_USER/Control Panel/Input Method
Create string parameter EnableHexNumpad =1. Type REG_SZ.
Reload.
At desired location:

  1. Press and hold the Alt key.
  2. Press the + (plus) key on the numeric keypad.
  3. Enter the value 3164 on the numeric keypad.
  4. Release the Alt key.
    You have a empty line
Then you can copy this invisible symbol and paste as many times as you want.
By these actions I insert the invisible character UNICODE "U-3164", which is not empty, unlike the space bar.
I hope that the developer will automate this process and add it to the program menu.

which device / OS ?
