What issue do you have?

When I do a search for obsolete notes, the notes shown have no apparent relation with the note list.
I know I can delete a note from the note list and that I can permanently delete it from the menu, but how can I delete the note (move it to trash) from the split view?

Scrolling the focused note into view might help. One way to do this is with the "Focus" submenu of "Go". One of the "Focus" menu items should be "Note list":

This should scroll the note list to the current note, and focus it.

Also you can use command palette Ctrl+Shift+P and typing en - short for deleteNote
