Hello all, may you can help me. Currently I intent to move from onenote ot Joplin, afther +10 years of onenote a lot of notes and notebook-structure were created. The test migration from onenote to Joplin went well, except some minor issues like text is converted to HTMP and not to md.
My biggest issue is the limited search funktionality of Joplin. I'm unable to search for notebooks. E.g. to add a new note, I need to find the notebook, where it should belongs to first. Or, if you know, there should be a notebook "fruits", but you don't know where in the structure or you are to lazy to navigate, there is no way to search and find it.
A workaround could be to add a note to the notebook with the same name as the notbook itself, it's may doable for new notebook, but for the existing ones a lof of work.
On desktop, you can type @<notebook_name>in the GoTo Anything dialog (I think the default shortcut is Ctrl+P) which will open the notebook and is searchable.
You can also add a shortcut to move the current note to a folder, which makes it easier to first add a note and then move it where you need it (and as @MoriarT3a mentioned, the moveTo function is searchable. This post explains how you can add the shortcut.
thanks a lot!!! It answered my questions. Both solutions notebook:"<notebook_name>" in the standard search and the @<notebook_name> good solutions to finde the notbook!
