Notes AND attachments storage in Joplin server docker image

Using Joplin server 2.2.10
Ubuntu 20.04
using docker

I would like to know where the notes and attachments are stored in the docker image. Is everything stored in the database including attachments?
If there is storage on the file system, where would I point a volume to in the docker-compose file?
