Local links no longer work (unless linkify is turned on)

After dragging and dropping while holding the option key to create a reference a link is properly created, like so:

[bla.pdf](file:///Users/tessus/Downloads/bla.pdf)

However, the preview window shows it exactly as above and not as a link.

When I turn on Linkify in Preferences -> Markdown, the link is shown properly:

IMO this has nothing to do with linkify and looks like a regression to me.

Yes there was indeed some issues with validating URLs, which will be fixed from next release.
