Joplin Web Clipper vs. copy/paste?

I am sure I am just overlooking this explanation, but I've looked and can't find it.

What does the Web Clipper do that can't be done with a copy/paste of web page content or a screen shot copy/paste of a web page?

Joplin 2.4.9
Kubuntu 21.10

It can convert the HTML to Markdown and preserves as much formatting (e.g. tables) as possible within the format. It also saves the URL the clip was taken from and if you are clipping a bunch of stuff it means you don't have to keep going back to Joplin to create a note, paste the contents etc.

Also, it will grab the images and store them locally.
