I have installed Joplin on Fedora, Ubuntu, Windows 10 without issue. However on my new computer when I click on the Sync link to go to Dropbox I get the usual sign in box and complete this. It then goes to the online version and does not provide me with the necessary code to paste into Joplin.
It then flashes a message across the top of the Dropbox windows saying “I denied access to Joplin”
How many simultaneous connections do you have to your Dropbox account?
They will bump you out if you go beyond the limit of a free account.
I use a cloud mounting utility app called rclone to mount my Dropbox account and do it that way. This way it doesn't count against your number of allowed connections to Dropbox.
agreed. Rclone is intimidating for beginners. , there is a free graphical user interface that installs rclone for you and makes it a lot easier. Its a GUI. Just create a new remote of type Dropbox and follow the prompts. Then you can mount it.
