Joplin running slow traversing notebook and notes

my joplin consists of several notebooks like around 30 or 40 and some are nested so that means my notes are much more than that. Is there any option to speed up the joplin app? I primarily suspect that its because of the auto checking of something changed and saving them since when i was typing it was not registering all that i typed since I think it was checking and saving at the same time. please correct me if I misunderstand anything

What if you disable note counts in the config screen?

Thanks, also please let us know if you no longer experience any slowness, as that would be an indication that there’s a performance issue with the note count.

for now it feels much smoother transitioning to another note/notebook unlike last time
