I’m using Evernote and I’m thinking of switching to Joplin. I’m using Linux Opensuse Tumbleweed on an AMD laptop. And I use Android.
Do I need to use Joplin Cloud in order to sync my Joplin data between my laptop and my Android? I’m happy to pay for and use Joplin Cloud if it’s required.
Can I use Syncthing to sync my Joplin data between my laptop and my Android?

At the moment, filesystem sync is unreliable without external workarounds (which you can find in the linked issue; it is a long read though 
). There is also another problem on Android related to slow filesystem access on the user storage. This means that if you've got a lot of notes, filesystem sync is going to be slow.
OK, thanks for the warning. I’ll explore other ways of syncing.
For Synchronisation you can use also Nextcloud, Dropbox, OneCloud, S3 and WebDAV:

I got a Joplin Pro Cloud subscription and it seems to be working well.
