Hello, I am using the Joplin portable version. I downloaded the latest version but I am not sure how to update. What is the proper way to do it?

Just replace your previous .exe file
Can you explain exactly how it is done? Do I just leave the original files in the folder and install into that same folder the new exe? I am worried I might lose my data.

Yes, just delete the old .exe and replace it with the new one. Don’t touch any other files. If you’re worried, make a backup first. (Since you use portable you can backup by just copying your Joplin directory somewhere else)
