How to format text in Joplin for Android mobile

Hi,

I've just downloaded version 1.8.5 on my Android mobile. I have over 4,400 notes in Evernote and can use it fairly well. However, I don't really know how to format text on the Android version of Joplin. Can someone please explain to me how to make text bold, underlined, italiced, highlighted etc.

E.g. for bold type **bold** and so on. There's no toolbar for these functions on mobile so the only way is to type it manually.

Though if you wanted, there are some specialized Android keyboards that should make writing markdown easier.
I don't use them, though, so I can't really recommend anything specific.
