How do I reset Joplin!?

What issue do you have?

I am trying to completely reset Joplin.

  • I've tried to delete ALL files on my computer and phone
  • I've turned off sync
  • I've tried to Re-upload data to sync target
  • I've tried to Delete local data and re-download from sync target
    I only have 1 note called testing
    I keep getting a sync error. I just want to completely start over. For some reason it seems to try to sync files after I've tried to delete everything.

If you wish to remove ALL your local data and reset Joplin as if it was just installed for the first time, delete / move / rename the folder ~/.config/joplin-desktop
