Hotfolder add-in stopped working after one use

Operating system

Windows

Joplin version

3.3.12

What issue do you have?

I added the Hotfolder add-in to Joplin and used it successfully to transfer files (PDFs mainly) from my dowfnloads folder to a specially created notebook

Oops. ...in Joplin. It worked fine. Then I went into the Joplin tools\options\ section for Hotfolder and changed the source directory so the settings look like this:

It now doesn't load the specified directory into Joplin. The paths match as they were copied and pasted. I have rebooted Joplin and the whole laptop.

I suspect this is something simple but can't see anything obvious.

I am wondering if it may be due to the spaces in the folder name.

  1. Does the correct folder open in Explorer when the "Browse" button is pressed?
  2. Use the "Browse" button to select the folder.
