Using Joplin on 4 desktop pc's and 1 android phone, syncing over a hosted (not self-hosted) Nextcloud repo.
I know every machine maintains a local copy of all notes. Say I haven't used machine X for a few days, then turn it on, then launch Joplin, then first press Sync.
I have changed or added about 20 notes max on the other machines.
Yet Joplin starts to download all notes again, in chunks of 50 to 100. That is, I see it download 1 to 50 of 50, then 50 to 100 of 100, then 100 to 200 of 200, and so on until it completes at about 500 notes. I let it finish uninterrupted, in order to avoid version conflicts.
Question: why does it have to download all notes when only a few are changed or new?
It's not a problem, it's not even a feature request (or not yet anyway), I'm just keen to learn how it works.
