Excluding /Apps/Joplin folder from regular OneDrive sync?

Operating system

Linux

Joplin version

3.5.11

Sync target

OneDrive

What issue do you have?

Nothing is really broken, but I'd like to ask a best practices question. I use Joplin on one Linux, one W11, and one OSX machine, all syncing to the same OneDrive account. It has been largely without issue, but occasionally, something that I deleted shows back up, and am wondering if that may be due to the fact that I have inadvertently included the syncing of my /Apps/Joplin folder in my regular OneDrive syncs.

I am wondering if by including that folder in my syncs, I am introducing noise into the system. Should I remove /Apps/Joplin from my OneDrive syncs? After all, Joplin seems to take care of syncing itself very nicely and I never interact directly with the data in that folder.

Thanks,

I would say yes, if only to save bandwidth and also prevent possible conflicts (e.g. if adding a pre-existing folder in a new OneDrive setup). You're not supposed (and should not unless you know exactly what you're doing) do any changes to the Joplin files located in that folder anyway.
