Is it normal for Joplin to use 1.5 G of Ram?
This makes my laptop almost stop working.
My database is less than 5 megabytes, I don't make heavy use of Joplin.
It is a secondary laptop that I don't use all the time, but when I do I need to use Joplin.

This may be due to plugins, what plugins and how many do you have enabled?
For the record, Joplin with no plugins on a fresh start uses less than 150 MB for me. This is on Windows 10 x64. The RAM usage does grow up a big after having been open for a few days, but even then it stays around 300~400 MB.
Thanks @JackGruber for your answer. I have installed 5 plugins. I think it's not much, unless one of them is a "ram eater".

I turn off the pc every day, so I rule out the cumulative consumption increase over time.

I solved the problem by copying the complete profile from another computer. I think something was corrupted and that's why it was taking up so much ram.
