What issue do you have?

Hello,
maybe it is a bug:

I have a text which is formatted in the markdown editor like this:
Thursday, 29.05.25:
If I look in the richtext editor, then it is correctly formated, bold and underlined.

If I now want to write something in the line below, then I start writing bold and underlined although the tags are closed. I should write plain text.

But this is not the problem: The problem is, that I can remove the boldness in the richtext editor by using the button "bold" but not the underlining. Everytime I want to remove the underlining I have to swich to the markdown editor and remove it manually, and this is not very comfortable.

Take a look at the screenshot "joplin forum". You can see, the button "bold" is pushed, but not the button "underlining", altough the highlighted text is underlined. The button should look pressed, too.

Another problem: Like you can see in the screenshot "freistellen", if I hover the curser over the button "underlining" than I get a tooltip with the text "einfügen". This is german and means "paste", like copy and paste. ??? Why? It should show "paste.
"The tooltips of the other buttons are correct.

As a new user I can post only one screenshot. No picture for the tooltip issue.

Help!!!
Yours,
Peter

Hello Karlzeiss and Welcome to the forum !

Me : Linux & 3.4.1

In the MDE (Markdown Editor) did you wrote this: ?

You mean in the RTE (RichText Editor) ?
By my side, in the RTE, I noticed that:

So in the MDE:

I haven't this issue... I can remove the underlining in the RTE.

I will try on WINDOWS later...

Have you try to modify options there: ?

You mean "It should show underline" ?
Anyway, by my side the tooltip is wrong too. With the English interface I have "Insert" for the underlining ! And in the French interface (my language) : "insérer" unstead of "souligner"... !

These are bugs it seems...

You can ask devs here to make correction:
