Display the total size of the note in the header (and customize it)

Hello,

I feel it could be a new feature to be able to customize the header of a note or at least to show the total size of a note in the header

Actually, there is the title, then the updated time and some icons.

I would love to also have the total size of the note (with its resources) because, as we are limited to 200MB on Joplin Cloud, it may be nice to automatically see the full size of some big notes instead of using plugins or going to Infos (where i wish there could be the size too)

The best would be to be able to customize this header to be able to choose between updated time, creation time, size or whatever property people want to show for each note.

If there is a plugin already doing that i would be happy to test it

Thanks

having an option in config to show/hide this note size can be nice.

also having an option in config to choose the timestamp to show/hide could be nice too.

This may help:

On desktop, navigate to the Joplin profile directory (e.g., ~/.config/joplin-desktop/resources on Linux or macOS, or %USERPROFILE%.config\joplin-desktop\resources on Windows). This folder contains all attachments (resources) as individual files. Sort the files by size in your file explorer to identify the largest ones.

Hello,

thanks for your procedure, I have tried that and even made a SQL query on the main database to be able to calculate that. My request was to be able to see quickly the full size to avoid having very big notes with too many attachements.

In fact i had requested this feature because I thought that a note (with its resources) should not exceed 200MB on Joplin Cloud. Just like on Evernote. But i was wrong because each object (note or resource) can have up to 200MB and thus a note can be incredibly big if we attach many big files < 200MB to it ..

I still think it would be nice to be able to customize the header and maybe add any information based on “variables” or from a selection of objects
