Joplin would be a fantastic tool for chess players if a chess viewer plugin were available, very similar to the one available for VS Code (can't include links, so just google for "vscode chess viewer").
Has anybody considered developing one? Or is one already available, and I missed it?

you can always use joplin with the vscode plugin where you use vscode instead of the desktop app from joplin
thanks, I'll give that a try
Was also looking for chess plugin for joplin and found this thread. I have tested vscode with joplin plugin. It is not really something I was looking for. The plugin can only chess, nothing else. I doesn't render the Joplin written notes properly. Joplin do not render the chess syntax of vscode plugin. So it is pointless to use vscode instead of Joplin.
I have also tried Loqseq, where the plugin similar to vscode chess viewer is available, Logseq is lacking of proper sync functionality and the logic behind how the notes are organized there is not really clear to me.
It would be great for me too, if the plugin like vscode chess viewer could be added to Joplin.
